City of Bern Completes City-wide Remote File Access Solution for all students and staff.

Everywhere Networks is pleased to announce that it’s award-winning FileWay solution, (selected in 2008 by Bern Switzerland as the city-wide school standard for enabling remote file access by students and staff), has successfully reached full implementation.

"The City of Bern, wanted to provide all its teachers and students the ability to remotely access their files over the web. During the initial engineering testing stage using Microsoft’s Outlook Web Access we ran into some serious challenges. Many of our users (mainly our teachers) browsed using an Apple/MAC (non Internet Explorer) from home and the existing Outlook Webmail Portal did not work properly for them. Also of special concern to us was that these same users could not make the Directory/Document sharing functionality work. This resulted in our continued search for alternative solutions and inevitably... to FileWay from Everywhere Networks".
